Hi,

I'm curious about our opinon on faac, an open source AAC encoding
implementation. Despite licensing concerns, the package is currently
available on http://debian-multimedia.org and in Ubuntu. Still, I have
escalated this issue to the Ubuntu technical board, which (finally) has
concluded it is not free software but freely redistributable:

https://launchpad.net/bugs/374900

The full list of issues and concerns can be seen in the discussion trail
of the bug cited above. Before wasting more time and energy about
polishing the package, would Debian follow this reasoning and accept it
for inclusion in the 'non-free' section?
