Package: lintian Version: 2.5.0~rc1 Severity: wishlist
Even though it is technically possible to use substitution variables in the source stanza (dpkg-source expands them without a warning[0]), it's (almost?) always a packaging bug to put them there.
It would be nice if lintian emitted a warning (or perhaps even an error) is such cases.
