Hey

I was pinged over IRC yesterday about "when can be a new lintian release
expected?"

Personally the only bug I really want fixed is #460350[1]; though I also
got my eyes on #629288[2] and #629453[3]. My intended plan is to apply
the patch for #629288 and #460350. As noted for #460350 the patch
requires a few more modifications (particular documentation), which I
will do when committing that patch.
Finally it looks there is ack for (or a lack of nack for) deprecating
--checksums (and pretend it was always passed), so I will go ahead for
that and close #629453 unless there are any nacks.

Since I already have to update the manual I figure I could just as well
fix #629193[4] by updating the doc to explain the situation. Question
here is; the patch for outputting check name and check type with
"lintian -i" / "lintian-info", do we want that as well?

As I understand it, with the recent upgrade of Bellini #629161 and
#575940 should be solved, though I hope Russ might be able to comment on
that.

By all means feel free to suggest changes to the above.

Current stats from bugs.d.o, says that we got 19 pending fixes (excl.
any of the bugs listed above). I have also cleaned a bit on the tracker
to close a few (old wontfix/cantfix) bugs and tag some wontfix.

Titles are not necessarily accurate here (just a "reminder" title).

[1] #460350: Default options in lintianrc

[2] #629288: add more embedded-libraries

[3] #629453: --checksums does not do anything

[4] #629193: Unclear difference between src and deb overrides
