Hi, lintian has checks for “correct” dates of config.{guess,sub} in the source package, especially for support for newer architectures. I didn't check but I guess it drops the warning in case debian/rules use autoreconf command or dh applet, since then the files will be updated at build time. Can xdt-autogen (from xfce4-dev-tools package) be added to the list of commands dropping the warning? The command does the job of updating autotools files (plus some Xfce specific stuff).
