hi, it's a while now that i set up this team at alioth:
http://alioth.debian.org/projects/pkg-e/ next step would be to upload bzr branches of debian trees to : http://bzr.debian.org/bzr/pkg-e/ and to build a debian-live e17 based. from what i've seen it works with gdm and even just using startx from cmdline. it would be nice to use entrance. Thanks. PS: since 3 days there are new members on that team, and we're trying to orginize an irc meeting , anyone intereted could contact the mail list http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-e-devel On 11/7/06, Stephen Yorke <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
I tried E17 and couldn't get it working so I dropped it and went back to FluxBox...if you get it working though I would love to hear how you did it...also...what (G,K,W) DM are you using with E/DR17...I was using GDM cause it seemed like this was the only one that would auto-login for me properly. -Stephen -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] org] On Behalf Of Glenn Greenfield Sent: Monday, November 06, 2006 10:41 PM To: [email protected] Subject: debian-live & enlightenment dr17 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 In the past I have built debian-live w/ Enlightenment DR17 and it worked fine using startx /usr/bin/enlightenment but things have changed in e17. Now, e17 must be started with a binary: /usr/bin/enlightenment_start which in turn calls /usr/bin/enlightenment but something is missing along the way. startx /usr/bin/enlightenment_start FAILED TO RUN: /filesystem.squashfs/usr/bin/enlightenment execv: No such file or directory which enlightenment /usr/bin/enlightenment It's there and i can execute it directly - unfortunately e17 does not play nice when you do this. Seems that /usr/bin/enlightenment_start expects to find /filesystem.squashfs/usr/bin/enlightenment when of course the correct path is /live_media/casper/filesystem.squashfs I did try linking /live_media/casper/filesystem.squashfs to /filesystem.squashfs but get the same error. I don't expect there to be many (if any) e17 users on the list but if someone has an idea I'm all ears. - - glenn greenfield -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFUAA3qUIEvHpYFKoRAsGGAJ0Uni5NaIeqsRdafFEVPZZ5x+foXACfRTk9 yalnhrn44O3LZxaZHugW6uU= =jupR -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Debian-live-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/debian-live-devel _______________________________________________ Debian-live-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/debian-live-devel
