Hi, having read the documentation I can see that the live-helper only provides
the standard Debian installer, or a Live CD version which both have to be
chosen as boot options. In the documentation it mentions that there isn't yet a
way to install the live CD from the running LIve system. Just to let you know
that such a package does exist - it is called remastersys-installer which is
part of the package remastersys which allows users to remaster an installed
system into a live CD. It seems that it might be a good idea to have a look at
the remastersys-installer script because it could easily be incorporated into
the live-helper script to provide this functionality, as well as the ability to
automatically remaster an installed system etc. I think the installer would
work without any changes, but the remastersys script itself may or may not be
compatible with the rest of the live-helper scripts. I will try out the
remastersys installer script on a live CD build soon and let you know if it
works properly.
