I'm having an issue with the images I build. When shutting down the system using GNOME's shutdown button, X restarts before actually shutting down. At first I thought it was related to gdm, but after removing it I still get the same problem, the Desktop shows up and delays the shutdown process. Any ideas?
when using persistency, it can be that you'll keep having a /etc/profile.d/zz-xinit.sh. make sure that you have a supported display manager (so xinit won't be used) and remove the file manually.
