Hi David, I presume you may be hitting the same problemas I had. Please check that the machine running the live image has enough RAM.
In my attempts on kvm/qemu, 128 MB RAM was not enough; you may consider increasing it. QEMU by default has a very low limit. See previous posts about this on the list for more details. If that is not the problem, then try to paste/print the exact error output.
