The current pae kernel in testing is;
linux-image-4.9.0-2-686-pae:i386:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 4.9.13-1

        500 http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian testing/main i386 Packages

I don't run 32 bit but I have a Loaner usb drive with Debian installs on
it and they are all represented in both 32 and 64 bit versions.  They
are all running that kernel.

Most of the installs are debian stable but I wanted a nicely set up OB
install and testing just has better OB support than stable.

Install I am on is on my internal drives and is Xfce testing so it was
easy to check the version with apt-cache.
