fcitx is added to the live image by several 'task-XXXX-desktop' packages. I'm wondering whether some of them would need an IME at all and if so, whether they can be upgraded to fcitx5.
KDE System Settings was added to the live image by the Calamares installer. This has been fixed and the trixie live image for GNOME does no longer have KDE System Settings.
