Package: lsb-base Followup-For: Bug #673207 I should have written the respective snipplet like this in my original bug report:
FANCYTTY=$([ -e /etc/default/rcS ] && . /etc/default/rcS && echo ${FANCYTTY:-})
This would have avoided the problem with "set -u" in some init scripts.
