I agree.

I recomment do read Joey Hess's post, which underlines the main target
of Debian's policy of renaming: programs that constitute an interface.

In most Debian Med package: the .py or .pl programs are not interfaces:
there is no expectation that external projects will reimplement them
in a different language.
