Hi Andreas,

Are you talking about the symlink ? > Question: If you say it is an "upstream" problem, do you want me to say > that FreeDiams includes copies of code from MedinTux? FreeMedForms project (including all derivatives like Freediams, FreeGIR and FreeAccount) is a full "from scratch" project. Some codes are proudly and publicly shared with QtCreator : extensionsytem, aggregation libs and some lines in the coreplugin. QtCreator is a LGPL project and this "collaboration" is notified in the "About" dialog. A new interface was created in collaboration with the GNUmed team to improve communication between EMRs and FreeDiams. This interface is clearly documented in French and English. http://ericmaeker.fr/FreeMedForms/di-manual/en/html/ligne_commandes.html http://ericmaeker.fr/FreeMedForms/di-manual/fr/html/ligne_commandes.html The FreeMedForms code that manages configuration of MedinTux will be removed in future version (because FMF members can not work on MedinTux code), that's why this code is not present in the public part of FreeMedForms. MedinTux admins should work on their code to implement a clean interface MedinTux/FreeDiams. Karsten Hilbert, Sebastian Hilbert and Jim Busser help a lot on this new interface. FreeMedForms team can help anyone who wants to use FreeDiams inside its EMR (documentation, algorythm and even write some lines of code). Collaboration between GNUmed and FreeDiams is an exemple. We do not have such a collaboration with MedinTux team. > If I understood > this corretly we should keep this in mind in case we try to package > MedinTux which is definitely an interesting thing to do (I wished > somebody would take the time to do this). In this case we should > clearly split both projects. Yes, FreeMedForms project is not linked to MedinTux by any kind. FreeMedForms and MedinTux are two different project. Thanks for your clarifications. Eric
