Some details about rpath are documented here: http://wiki.debian.org/RpathIssue If you want to override a lintian warning you just put the warning into the a file debian/[package.]lintian-overrides (and please add as a comment starting with a hash sign why you consider lintian wrong in this case. (I'm not sure whether this answer really matches your question - if not please try rewording.) > I'm wondering if I should go join debian-mentors as well. Debian-mentors assembles a quite knowledged set of DDs who usually give great advise for technical questions we might not be able to answer here in full detail. In general you can post without beeing subscribed to any mailing list @lists.debian.org but people usually will not CC you if you do not explicitely ask about this. In any case you can read the web archive of the list if you think your mail traffic is high enough usually. Otherwise you will get about 10 additional mails per day in average which you can easily filter.
