Just pushed a revision to master that incorporates the below fix, i.e.,
PAUP-based tests skipped unless an environmental variable explicitly set
to the path of the PAUP binary.

This dependency is only in some parts of test suite at the moment, and, in
any case, PAUP* itself will be open source once it is finally released.
Ahhh, an open source PAUP would be great. I'd be happy if you would ping
the list if this becomes true.
We will work on making not running the PAUP* tests the default, unless the
user specifically requests it by providing a path to the PAUP binary.
