I like the Nettab, the hackathon, sprints, codefest paper had its origin right there. I am very much up to it, we just need to ensure that this does not block us from publishing somewhere more visibly, like a Nature Scientific Report or some more free flavor of it. I don't think it would work for Debian. Oh, we are all employed somewhere. It would work. I am in cHiPSeT (http://chipset-cost.eu/, anybody finding me on that picture gets a free drink at our next Sprint). Just, if I was the EU I would say that we are already doing what the EU wants us to get into - a trusting international collaboration, so I would not give us any money since we are too good already. But we should try. Caveat: These meetings take time. Sending students around and training them takes time. Writing reports does. All this time needs to help your main job in some way, otherwise you are in trouble. The COST would hence not necessarily have "Debian" in its name but of course we should think about that instrument.
