Nate,

Nearly all of Galaxy's dependencies are now packaged. Would you be
interested in joining our Mentoring of the Month program to package Galaxy
for Debian yourself?

https://wiki.debian.org/DebianMed/MoM

In many ways it may turn out to be an easy package and what ever issues
arise you are well positioned to make the needed changes in Galaxy itself.

Thanks again!
Hoopla,

I'm at the Galaxy Community Conference sitting next to Nate Coraor.

Nate is enthusiastic about Galaxy becoming properly packaged for Debian. He
is well aware of how hacky his current package is :-)
