Well, that says it: it's unpacked, but not configured. That's why it probably works for package building (the files are there), but it's not in the "installed" state. Why apt-get install libacl1-dev wouldn't also cause the package configuration to be run is beyond me though. You should be able to fix that via: dpkg --configure --pending > No error messages to see about "libacl". (I have the complete messages > in a file. If you want me to search, just give me an expression.)i Did you see any messages about "Setting up libacl1-dev"? Or did apt stop beforehand because of some other package and it never got to that?
