Hi Simon,

thank you for the review and for the build log.

The failure was not in formiko itself. In current sid, pybuild runs the
test suite for every supported Python version, i.e. both 3.14 and 3.15.
python3-gi does not ship the _gi extension for Python 3.15 yet, so
tests/test_sourceview.py failed already at "import gi" under 3.15
(ImportError: cannot import name '_gi'), which made dh_auto_test, and
therefore the whole build, fail. Under Python 3.14 all 224 tests pass.

I fixed it in debian/rules: the test suite now runs only with the
default Python version (the other supported versions are disabled for
the test step via PYBUILD_DISABLE, computed from py3versions, so no
version is hardcoded). I kept this inside the unreleased 2.0.0-2
changelog entry, since 2.0.0-2 has not been uploaded to the archive yet.

I verified it with sbuild in a clean unstable chroot: the build is
successful, the tests run with Python 3.14 only and pass (224 passed,
1 skipped), and lintian reports no errors or warnings for the built
packages.

I have uploaded the updated source package to mentors.debian.net, it
replaces the previous 2.0.0-2 upload:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/formiko/
  https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/f/formiko/formiko_2.0.0-2.dsc

I removed the moreinfo tag. Could you please have another look?

Best regards,
Ondřej Tůma
