I really don't like this approach, I would prefer to generate a random password without showing it to the system administrator, then tell him (through a README.Debian file) how to modify it. All in all, if the sysadmin has modified the default behaviour of debconf (noninteractive, or raised up the minimum priority higher than "high") and he is installing a zope instance, I can assume that he knowns what is doing.
