Hi all, Bioperl needs libsvg-perl [#342475], and David prepared a pacakge. Because of a communication problem which is my fault, there was a kind of race condition, David was second to issue an ITP and we did not realise this until it was too late. For this reason, he could not find a sponsor on -mentor and -perl. (ITP hijack). Now, a few weeks later, there is no alternative libsvg-perl on mentors.d.n, nor in the NEW queue.
Can a DD sponsor David's package ? Perl libraries are not the kind of package one would sell his mother for. It just does not make sense to wait for somebody else to duplicate David's work: it will not happen. There are zillions of other perl libraries waiting for a package (including other dependancies of bioperl). Here is the link to the package: http://mentors.debian.net/cgi-bin/sponsor-pkglist?action=details;package=libsvg-perl http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/l/libsvg-perl/libsvg-perl_2.33-1.dsc Have a nice day, -- Charles Plessy http://charles.plessy.org Wako, Saitama, Japan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
