yes, they only take care of the files in debian/packagename/..... - normally you use setup.py to buld/install them, but pysupport/central don't care how they got in there. > 2 Is it a good idea to start with dh_make? yes. > 3 Do you suggest a CDBS based rules file? depends. For easy tasks like using setup.py it's easy, but as long as you have to add more than two lines a normal debian/rules file is less confusing imho.
