Package name : fractalnow Version : 0.8.0 URL : http://fractalnow.sourceforge.net/ License : LGPL Description : Fast, advanced fractal generator
FractalNow is quite similar to Fraqtive (which is in Debian), only better: it is even faster thanks to more advanced algorithms, it has more options (several coloring methods) and supports arbitrary precision floats. See a nice gallery here: http://fractalnow.sourceforge.net/gallery.html And some screenshots: http://fractalnow.sourceforge.net/screenshots.html FractalNow provides users with tools to generate pictures of various types of fractals quickly and easily. It is made of both a command line (FractalNow) and a graphical tool (QFractalNow). The graphical tool, based on Qt library, allows users to explore fractals intuitively and generate pictures. Both tools are entirely multi-threaded and implement advanced algorithms and heuristics that make computation very fast compared to most existing free fractal generators. All files required for building package are on sourceforge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/fractalnow/files/FractalNow/0.8.0/sources/packaging/debian/ I built packages for i386, amd64 and armel architectures already: http://sourceforge.net/projects/fractalnow/files/FractalNow/0.8.0/builds/linux/deb/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-mentors-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
