-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Dear mentors,
I'm working on a package in which I have to change the name of the main executable, because of possible confusion with another Debian package (the upstream name is "dh_syncserver" which can easily be confused with debhelper scripts). Renaming the executable is easy, but how do I rename the associated manual page provided by upstream? debian/<package>.manpages doesn't allow for renames, nor does calling dh_installmanpages directly. Should I compress and install the manpage into /usr/share/man in debian/rules by hand, or is there some cleaner way to handle this situation? Thanks for any help, Jan-Pascal -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJVtS6SAAoJEPgwem7WkKwGrhgQAJNbNAx8zboHdHSrdSmxf7to GCKT3fLcX35oG7JaSdgSEHrD95tYCwXzLGa7VyJhZzieXO7+EDVG3th+G/HuKB2j NOyGxN2ZVRrLyhUlPL3tLNqwVEcjfYmNbe+Nr/prTGjjNMojuzQxBevexhmJ6B21 va++pKtuZu+XgvcKRVMtBbqHf8sb1CHiP1D1AwTwG7cHGkEh15a/it8OfVbNXKI5 a1s60jn5HuOB4sl4NyAKjrM8OTK3qCujzU9n8SFUtrvPsNd+Gs9zocRxi0c3cpPC XkkKnyNOIabJFTfeAynCOeXlwpW0tXCBGHQRrviRMRn7LZqulQ3vOZk4x1EbrxK9 cLmgzi7u6nMlShb73tRNvbDu40g7q6EGbedIS5MLLZpR+h51oAohSEOrRuBBS5CF JfyFnD0S8FGAVJzrso83KzKsYTP1AF7xE7myeieMSsiyygJL6+QkvCmIWKbtCxql 0QzYhXgMbC386E1dUlDj7bSAgUP2aYAmqOWbMW0gwMQEcS4hcItSrGcXLpF3Gs7d Syc6xJWPD5GzPlgUYMWqtF3nPi0l/o7jeV/sx8iPy5+D/fazcYk6FQ5vyXX+BSbH OUGi+7bCDcoBby67a5/F8/2BjVw3GJIB1GtKcO7yrS/af511IgmhHagz66aACC8J ZMttBWwgxq5JQGZNJm7O =3ffd -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-mentors-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
