I recently went through hell with this. The newer libc in testing requires a newer kernel, but if I boot a newer kernel with the current libc, everything breaks. So it seems to be a huge catch-22.
It ended-up hosing my RaQ2 and I had to netboot and reinstall from scratch. -Dustin > -----Original Message----- > From: Guido Guenther [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Tuesday, March 02, 2004 5:19 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: regarding cobalt raq2 and stuff > > On Tue, Mar 02, 2004 at 08:21:23AM +0100, Harald Kapper wrote: > > I've seen progress on the gentoo-side for the raq2 and will > try those > > kernel-builds today, maybe they get me some more stable > raq2's because > > the latest available v2.4.18 for raq2/debian is just a pain if the > > machine gets some i/o-load to handle. > Yes, please do.
