Hmm, For me this is a nice-to-have, if the bmcsensors driver in the 2.6.17+ kernel tree is unavailable, i'd rather wait for this to be included into the mainstream kernel instead of distributing (if it comes to that) a manually patched kernel. Plus i believe the currently distributed lmsensor version is too old to work with this patch.
So for now, thanks for the info, I'll wait until this is included into the mainstream kernel development and the updated lmsensors.
