Package: kodi Version: 2:17.1+dfsg1-3 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I'm running Kodi v17.1 on Debian Stretch and I've set it up to play movies on a LAN NAS over HTTP (HTTPS to be more precise). The issue is that when I try to play a large enough movie (say 1+ GB), I get a long (sometimes endless) loading circle on Kodi and I see through HTOP that it gradually fills up my RAM and then my SWAP almost to 100% then it stops and ram/swap usage goes back to pre-playing levels before it starts again sometimes several times. Eventually, either the movie finally plays (after 5 min of loading) or the loading stops as if I hadn't asked Kodi to play anything. I'm having a hard time figuring out why it's acting that way and debugging logs don't show anything useful. I've tried to add : <cache> <buffermode>3</buffermode> </cache> To my advancedsettings.xml file to disable the cache but to no avail. Does anyone have any idea ?
