Package: libsvtav1enc4 Version: 4.1.0+dfsg-1 Severity: wishlist Hi there,
it has come to my attention that there exists a popular fork of this library called SVT-AV1-PSY [1] which has just recently been superceeded by another popular fork called SVT-AV1-HDR [2]. Will it make sense for Debian to switch library sources to the latter fork? I have really no idea about the whole topic, just wanted to raise attention. I am asking for a friend. ;) - Fabian [1] https://github.com/psy-ex/svt-av1-psy [2] https://github.com/juliobbv-p/svt-av1-hdr -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.19.6+deb14+1-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages libsvtav1enc4 depends on: ii libc6 2.42-13 libsvtav1enc4 recommends no packages. libsvtav1enc4 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
