With the exchange of a few emails, he demonstrated to me that he understands the principles and extent of these documents. He also demonstrated awareness of the responsibilities of a debian maintainer. I asked him some questions about licensing of particular packages which he answered to my satisfaction. We also discussed the BTS, and policy and packaging docs. Policy and Procedures Check Passed Tasks and Skills ---------------- Taylor has already made several debian packages: bidwatcher (eBay tool), the Zen web browser (nocrew.org), wmcb.app. I checked through some of his packages. While a couple were not lintian clean initially, he did iterate on it and produced new packages that were to my satisfaction. He is also interested in packaging openphone (and the "answering machine") from openh323.org. He also mentioned that he was interested in the deity project.
