I don't see a good reason to restrict that to AM. Any information handled in the NM process doesn't require more privacy than the one that we have with the -private list. I really think we should handle NM much like we handle MIA people: for each applicant have a mailbox on merkel:/org/nm.debian.org and let the AM feed that mbox by sending mails to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thoses mboxes should be readable by all DD (and in particular by all AM). The public mail interface would also let other DD interacting with the applicant write their support (or their fears) directly into that mbox. That way, when an AM put someone on hold, all his work is already available and when the applicant comes back, another AM (currently active) can take over the process and finish the process with the applicant. And finding the detailed history of someone is a matter of logging into merkel and using "mutt -f". We would even create executive summary like we do with "mia-query" by extracting one specific header of each mail in the mbox. I'd be ready to implement (or help implement) something like that. It really shouldn't be hard to do based on the various mia scripts that are already available ... (I largely prefer this over a dedicated NNTP/IMAP server) Cheers, -- Raphaël Hertzog Premier livre français sur Debian GNU/Linux : http://www.ouaza.com/livre/admin-debian/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
