Furthermore, I'm familiar with ghostbar's work in Debian, either through Debian Venezuela or directly when we have worked on BSPs and other initiatives. He has previously participated on nat'l Debian-related events such as the last Venezuelan MiniDebConf (which other DDs also attended, such as Aníbal Monsalve Salazar) José Luis maintains 20+ packages including xscreensaver, and he has made a great effort on those packages. He also has improved his skills greatly since a couple years, and is now quite aware of the greater ecosystem surrounding Debian. He is probably the most active Debian maintainer in Venezuela.
