For more explanation, fonts-japanese-{mincho,gothic}.ttf is alternatives
and some Japanese packages, such as fonts-ipafont-{mincho, gothic}
provide it. Please check "Provides: ttf-japanese-{mincho, gothic}
packages.
Older Japanese font packages provide same mechanism as
ttf-japanese-{mincho,gothic},
sazanami and kochi also provide it. Now both of sazanami and kochi
don't provide fonts-japanese* because it is not recommended to use.
If you have any question for it, please ask :)
