I got that too and worked around it with the follwing: $ apt-get source openoffice.org <downoading and error message> $ tar xfvz openoffice.org_1.0.0.orig.tar.gz $ zcat openoffice.org_1.0.0-pre1.0.1rc2.diff.gz | patch -p0 Chris, can you fix the error?
