Hmm, a pattern starts to emerge. I suddenly hit #172448 (menu fonts disappear after upgrade) on one of my machines, and it was caused by an upgrade: libfreetype6 2.1.2-9 -> 2.1.3-1. Can you try downgrading your libfreetype6 to 2.1.2-9 and see if the problem goes away again? Thanks, Chris
