It can't make any orthograph verification. When I order a check of any document, openoffice hangs few second (if my document is long, otherwise the process is fast), the cpu usage raises, every thing indicates that openoffice is computing a spell check, but it always returns saying that the spellcheck is complete, without noticing errors (and there are errors!). Another problem: I can't change the lang of the spell check. When my locale (LC_ALL) are posix, in "Options - Language Settings - Writting Aids", "Edit" I always have "English USA" as language, even after changing the language into something else, and then coming back. If my locale are "fr_FR", the language stay blocked at "". In both case, the "spellcheck" doesn't notice any error, in any document. I try the spell check with both french dictionnaries, myspell-fr and myspell-fr-gut. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.9 Locale: LANG=french, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.ISO-8859-1 (charmap=ISO-8859-1) (ignored: LC_ALL set to fr_FR) Versions of packages openoffice.org depends on: ii dictionaries-common [openof 0.24.0 Common utilities for spelling dict ii openoffice.org-bin 1.1.2dfsg1-2 OpenOffice.org office suite binary ii openoffice.org-debian-files 1.1.2-5+1 Debian specific parts of OpenOffic ii openoffice.org-l10n-en [ope 1.1.2dfsg1-2 English (US) language package for ii openoffice.org-l10n-fr [ope 1.1.2dfsg1-2 French language package for OpenOf ii ttf-opensymbol 1.1.2dfsg1-1 The OpenSymbol TrueType font -- no debconf information
