Hi, I have the same problem since this morning's update from Stretch to Buster. Writer crashes at startup.
Calc, Draw, or Impress works fine. I have this problem only on i386 workstations not on amd64. I have uninstalled the package "libreoffice-gtk3" and installed the package "libreoffice-gtk2", I have the same problem. I have uninstalled both packages "libreoffice-gtk2" and "libreoffice-gtk3" (VCL: x11), I do not have the problem. Writer works and I can use it, but it is not very pretty.
