Package: debian-policy Version: 4.3.0.3 Severity: minor Tags: patch Dear Maintainer,
the abstract of the Debian Manifest (document ID debian-manifesto, installed as file /usr/share/doc-base/debian-manifesto) is written in all verbatim format (except for the initial line), which to me, judging from its content, appears to have happened by mistake. I hence modestly suggest to change the continuation lines its value consists of from verbatim into regular format, by merely reducing the number of leading spaces from two to only a single one per line. For my amusement, I applied this change to my live system (with version 4.3.0.3 of debian-policy installed), deleted and rebuilt the online documentation (install-docs invoked with the -R, and subsequently -I option), and got quite satisfied with the result shown by dwww afterwards. The rest of this message records the change I applied to file /usr/share/doc-base/debian-manifesto. *** debian-manifesto.diff 5,8c5,8 < outlines his view for a brand new Linux distribution which would be developed < openly, describes why the world needed this distribution and which problems < would the distribution solved.
