I installed 10.4 today.  From "Tiger", I see the os9 partition but not the
Debian partition.


Try booting with the "option" key, you should get to a boot menu. From
linux then, do mkofboot to restore the bootloader config

For now, I am going to use the option key. It provides the function.

For whatever reason, my console text was too large when I was using the bootloader. I have lots to learn about Debian.
