Can't find the HD on an iMac

I have this iMac, which i wanted to install Debian only.

I have downloaded the cd, which i can boot on it by pressing "C" on startup. And i see it initializes, and it goes thru the menu.

But, it can't see the Hard Disk when im partioning it.

I did try to erase the whole OS X drive and files, but it still can't detect on Linux/Debian.

What can i do?
