Hmm. Last time I disabled CONFIG_VGA_CONSOLE, it resulted in me getting a display consisting solely of bullet marks, instead of standard text. (2.4.9-benh, IIRC. One of these days, I'll get around to upgrading to something more recent, and see what comes out as a result.) -- Violence is the last resort of the incompetent. The competent, of course, make it their *first* resort.
