I'm wondering, have you been using the same CD on all these installs? How about trying the same grep on the cd: grep '\^\@' /cdrom/debian/dists/woody/main/binary-powerpc/Packages Is it the CD that's corrupted? Or if you delete and re-retrieve the file, is it getting corrupted coming in over the network? -- *------v--------- Installing Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 --------v------* | <http://www.debian.org/releases/woody/installmanual> | | debian-imac (potato): <http://debian-imac.sourceforge.net> | | Chris Tillman [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | May the Source be with you | *----------------------------------------------------------------* -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
