hi! many mac people will use aac in the future, since it is included in apples new iTunes4. so many will use iTunes4 to encode aac files. I dont know it there is a linux encoder but take a look at http://www.ics.uci.edu/~jyeung/geek/aac/ for a player i also dont know if there are anny plugins for xmms so if any of you knows any let me know
