Hi Eric.. thanks a lot for the link... I used the script you pointed
to and now it works!! You're the man! :-)
So it appears that the documentation that accompanies wlan-ng is not
quite sufficient if you want to get a WEP enabled network going..
looks like Eric's played around quite a bit with the options and the
script on his website has the options that work... so hopefully
this link will help others also...

N.B. : even iwconfig give you some ansmwer, be carefull, the
linux_wlan_ng do *not* use the kernel ioctl and this information may be
completely wrong...
