You will end up with a mixture of woody and sid packages which might break some things. Use www.backports.org or www.apt-get.org to check for some packages which have been backported. Or upgrade to sid. I have had few problems in the last years with it. Or to Sarge which will become the next stable quite soon (hopefully).
