Perhaps the version you are using is not as friend with pmdisk as mine. Give it a try :( > > I know this does not help a lot, but is for saying that it works (at > > least and for this while) for me. > > can you post /proc/cpuinfo and your kernel version? Sure: shakuras:~# cat /proc/cpuinfo processor : 0 cpu : 7455, altivec supported clock : 707MHz revision : 3.3 (pvr 8001 0303) bogomips : 710.65 machine : PowerBook6,3 motherboard : PowerBook6,3 MacRISC3 Power Macintosh detected as : 287 (iBook G4) pmac flags : 0000000a L2 cache : 256K unified memory : 256MB pmac-generation : NewWorld The kernel version, I must say it is a very rare config, but here it is: shakuras:~# uname -a Linux shakuras 2.6.8.1 #3 Tue Aug 31 02:48:50 CEST 2004 ppc GNU/Linux (yes, I build a kernel per day: I am very newbie and do a looooot of tests :P) 'a grosso modo', my kernel has only, as modules, the USB stuff and the therm_adt746x. Everything else is built-in. This version uses preemtible kernel. Need any more info? I hope this helps: -- Pau Rul·lan Ferragut GPG id B0AB 1B0D FA8E 9295
