It could be both, but the easiest way to distinguish it would maybe be to try netbooting both of : http://people.debian.org/~luther/d-i/images/daily/powerpc/netboot/vmlinuz-chrp.initrd or http://people.debian.org/~luther/d-i/images/daily/powerpc/netboot/vmlinuz-prep.initrd The one which works, well this one is it.
