My problem is with the last line, when I try dhclient. It seems to do an ifconfig down/up again, which means I have to run iwlist scan again to get the wireless working again. What I want is a way to disable dhclient from doing its own ifconfig down/up on eth1 (or eth2 sometimes!), so that the iwlist command doesn't have to be run separately on another xterm/console.
