Well, looks like my code doesn't detect the codec. Maybe it is on a
different i2c bus? I have no idea.

Isn't there a way to list the buses?  Something like lspci ...  Even if it's a 
script traversing device-tree.  This is the output from i2cdetect.  If I try to 
get more information on each buses I get a warning about possible data loss, so 
I'm not about to do that yet.
