update unable to connect to several repositories

I'm running Lenny on an eMac and although everything seems to work well, 
I have been unable to update for several weeks. Update stops at 
ttp://ftp.egr.msu.edu/debian/dists/lenny/Release.gpg
http://ftp.egr.msu.edu/debian/dists/lenny/main/i18n/Translation-en_US.bz2
which fail to connect.
Any help appreciated. I'm not particularly facile with Linux but can 
follow directions.
