Package: foomatic-filters
Version: 4.0.12-1
Severity: important

With 4.0.9-1 printing works. If I upgrade to the version in testing
(4.0.12-1) I can no longer print. The printing itself works from the
application view, I can see the printing jobs with lpq, but nothing is
output to the printer, the job just stays forever in lpq. I even let
my computer run over night to see if just some rendering was very
slow, but nothing, no print.

Same results with the version in sid (4.0.13-1). No printer output.
(Though I only tested in briefly with a simple plain file).

If I downgrade to 4.0.9-1, switch my printer off and again on, and
/etc/init.d/cups restart
then printing works again (tested with plain files only so far,
though).

For the record: printing with usb, downgrading cups, ghostscript etc.
did not help, printer worked for years, orginally with parallel, now
with usb port.

Do not hesitate to ask for more information or for me to run tests!
